Fasting is a sacred time that allows us to hear from God and seek his presence. This is a time when you purposely remove distractions and intentionally make time for you and God to have a conversation. You define the distraction(s); it doesn’t have to be only food. During these five days, you may consider fasting from social media, shopping, gossiping, watching your favorite show, or eating out. What are you willing to sacrifice to strengthen your relationship with God and allow yourself to have more time with him?
